Chris Pratt’s Toe-tal Disaster

5/8/2023 Hollywood, CA – Chris Pratt, the star of Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, thought he was sharing a harmless joke with his fans when he posted a photo of his toenail on Instagram a few days back. Little did he know that his toenail would become the most hated thing on the internet, and the cause of his downfall.

The photo, which showed Pratt’s toenail crusted, yellow and labeled “Met Gala Look”, was meant to be funny. But instead of laughing, fans were disgusted by the sight of his toe, which they described as “nasty”, “infected”, and “a biohazard”.

“Is that a toe or a sausage?” one fan commented.

“Did you step on a landmine?” another asked.

“Please delete this. I just threw up my lunch,” a third wrote.

The backlash was so severe that most people would have quickly deleted the photo. Instead, the Instagram photo remains and it’s the toenail that’s gone viral sparking a wave of memes, jokes, and parodies. Some fans even started a petition to have Pratt’s toe removed from all his movies, saying it was too distracting and disturbing.

Pratt’s toe also caught the attention of his fellow actors, who did not miss the opportunity to roast him. Ryan Reynolds, who is known for his sarcastic humor, tweeted: “Hey @prattprattpratt, I heard you need a new toe. I have one for you. It’s in my pants.”

Scarlett Johansson, who co-starred with Pratt in Avengers: Endgame, said in an interview: “I don’t know what he was thinking. That toe is the most horrifying thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen Thanos.”

Even Tom Holland, who is usually friendly and supportive of his Marvel co-stars, couldn’t resist taking a jab at Pratt. He posted a video on Instagram where he pretended to be Pratt and showed his own toe, saying: “Hey guys, it’s me, Chris Pratt. Just wanted to show you my toe. It’s pretty cool, right? It’s like a little dinosaur claw. Rawr!”

Pratt’s toe also cost him some acting jobs, as directors and producers were reluctant to work with him after seeing his photo. James Gunn, who directed Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy, said he was reconsidering casting him in the next installment of the franchise.

“I love Chris, but I can’t have him on set with that toe. It’s too distracting and gross. I don’t want him to scare away the other actors or the crew. Maybe I’ll just replace him with CGI,” Gunn said.

Colin Trevorrow, who directed Pratt in Jurassic World, said he was also having second thoughts about working with him again.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t have Chris running around with dinosaurs with that toe. It’s not realistic or believable. It would ruin the whole movie. Maybe I’ll just kill off his character in the next one,” Trevorrow said.

Pratt’s career is taking a nosedive after this toe debacle, and he’s losing status as one of Hollywood’s most popular and bankable stars. Inside sources tell us he has become depressed and insecure about his appearance, and started wearing shoes at all times, even in bed.

He’s also had no further postings on social media regarding the toenail, fearing more backlash from his fans and critics. On Pratt’s behalf, his agent made the following statement saying: “I’m sorry for offending anyone with my toe. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings or ruin anyone’s day. I just wanted to make people laugh. Please forgive me.”

An offer of assistance came for Dr. Phil, “Chris Pratt is clearly suffering from a severe case of toe-phobia, which is affecting his self-esteem and his career. He needs professional help to overcome his trauma and regain his confidence. I’m willing to work with him pro bono, because I feel sorry for him and his toe. And also because I need a good laugh.”

To which Pratt retorted, “I’m looking for an actual doctor. The best acting psychologist in the world is needed to help me get over my toe issue. I want someone who can understand my pain and my struggle, and who can help me find my inner toe-beauty. I’m willing to pay any price, because money is no object for me. And also because I have nothing else to spend it on.”

Hopefully, it’s not too late for Pratt, his toe, and career, but the damage seems irreparable at this point. We simply cannot unsee that encrusted toenail. Perhaps a call to the @footnanny should be Pratt’s next “step” with his toe?
