SAG To Award Trump Life Achievement Award For Elaborate Acting Ploy

12/26/2023 Los Angeles – The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announced today that they will present former president Donald J. Trump with a Life Achievement Award at the upcoming 30th Annual SAG Awards on February 24th.

SAG president Fran Drescher praised Trump’s contributions “in front of the camera” over many decades. “Whether it was his pioneering work hosting reality television in The Apprentice or making dramatic cameos in Home Alone 2 and Zoolander, Trump has left an indelible mark on American entertainment and history,” Drescher remarked.

While many actors across the globe were taken aback and shocked by the announced award, Drescher defended Trump’s “groundbreaking improvisational work over his entire career.” Drescher noted, “It all makes sense, now. No sane person would have made as many outrageous comments or been as boastful. It simply had to be quite the elaborate acting scheme. Whether he was playing a cutthroat CEO, an unhinged show host, or an authoritarian-style president, Trump always kept us on our toes with his dramatic antics and off-the-cuff performance.”

The award honors performers with long and fruitful careers in film and television. Past recipients include Morgan Freeman, Carol Burnett, Betty White, and Dick Van Dyke. In the announcement, SAG highlighted some of Trump’s especially memorable performances including a bankrupt businessman as he fired aspiring moguls on The Apprentice, Trump’s wild claims about Obama’s birth certificate and voter fraud, and constantly stirring up controversy during his four years of improvisational comedy as President of the United States.

In an exclusive interview with JournalistBS Trump said, “A Life Achievement Award? Of course SAG wants to honor me – I’m the greatest actor of all time! This award is long overdue. My performances as president were definitely Emmy worthy. The writers gave me the best lines, and I knocked every appearance out of the park. The fake news media tried to convince people my presidency was real, but it was all an act. And clearly the best act in television history with the highest ratings! This year’s awards show will be bigger and better than ever thanks to my presence. I’ve been saying for years that I’m a much better actor than Alec Baldwin. All the critics agree.” Trump noted.

“SAG knows talent when they see it, and nobody is more talented than me. All the other actors are losers and haters. They’re just jealous they didn’t get asked to role play as president. I carried that role for four years – and nobody was the wiser. The failing Academy Awards wish they could honor me, but they know I’m too good for them. Not prestigious enough! But the SAG Award is a trophy worthy of me. I’ll add it to my award collection next to my Razzies. Thank you to SAG for finally recognizing my unequaled genius. I’ll be accepting this award bigly!” Trump concluded.

The 30th Annual SAG Awards will air live on TNT/TBS at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on February 24th. Producers are promising Trump’s acceptance speech will be “must see TV” that no one should miss.
