12/10/2023 Las Vegas – MGM Resorts International is seeing red after a local magician made off with a magical jackpot. “The Incredible Romero”, has been sued by the casino giant after apparently using his sleight-of-hand skills to rake in big winnings during his free time.

MGM made news this past summer when they rewarded Romero with a record contract after droves came to see his “Astonishmania!” magic and illusion act. However, things turned sour for MGM when Romero entered the casino floor last night after his final show.

“This was no ordinary card counter,” said MGM spokesperson Pete Parlay. “Romero was seemingly possessing supernatural powers. He’d produce a rabbit out of his top hat to distract pit bosses, then disappear from blackjack tables only to reappear at craps games. Our dealers are still scratching their heads.”

Things hit a real vanishing act when Romero asked players to “pick a card, any card” before pulling exact cards from sleeves, pockets, even thin air. But the real kicker came when Romero made like Houdini and sawed another winning player in half.

“Our security cameras show the man’s feet walking away while his torso stayed to collect his chips,” said Parlay. “It was total magic nonsense.”

Authorities have no idea where the magical mischief maker Romero went. But Parlay speculates he disappeared in a cloud of smoke, along with MGM’s money.
