Biden Vows To Audition For ‘The Voice’ If Not Reelected

12/7/2023 Washington, DC – This week President Joe Biden made an unusual pledge regarding his plans if he fails to win reelection in 2024.

“Let me be clear – I love being your president and have lots more work to do. But if the American people decide it’s time for someone else, I won’t fade quietly into retirement,” Biden proclaimed at a press conference Thursday morning. “No, in that case, I vow to finally pursue my backup dream of becoming a contestant on The Voice!”

The president says he has been a fan of the NBC singing competition series for years. “Jill and I never miss an episode,” Biden enthused. “Man, if I don’t get America’s vote in 2024, I’m going to belt my heart out for Reba, Niall, John and Gwen instead!”

The White House confirmed that Biden has already selected his three song choices for a potential blind audition: “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Francis Scott Key, “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, and an original patriotic country song he wrote himself over the weekend, tentatively titled, “The Ballad of Amtrak Joe.”

While delighted by his enthusiasm, Biden’s staff members were gently nudging him to remain focused on policy goals for now. “But how can I convince voters to keep me as president if I don’t tease my singing skills?” Biden was overheard firing back while being ushered off stage in a now infamous “open mic” incident.

At press time, The Voice fans were left wondering if Reba McEntire would choose to spin her big red chair for Biden during his country ballad.
