9/23/2023 Mexico City – Mexico’s Congress heard startling testimony from experts on extraterrestrials Tuesday, when famed ufologist Jaime Maussan wheeled two caskets into the congressional chambers, dramatically unveiling what he claimed were alien bodies recovered from thousand year old Peruvian mines. While scientists disputed the bodies’ authenticity, citizens weighed in on the implications of integrating with actual aliens from other planets.

“Having foreigners from another planet take our jobs and use our public services without paying taxes would be unacceptable,” said Diego Sanchez, an unemployed factory worker. “Plus, who knows if these aliens have criminal backgrounds or pose threats to our national security?”

However, entrepreneur Maria Gonzalez offered a different view. “These aliens could provide cheap intergalactic labor and galactic diversity to our society. And if we register them as legal aliens, just think of all the warp drive taxes they’d pay!”

Farmworker Julio Fuentes agreed. “Doing tough jobs like scrubbing meteoroid debris off spaceships is work most Mexicans don’t want anyway. These aliens should be welcomed.”

“But we can’t just have unlimited illegal immigration from every planet,” countered security guard Pedro Diaz. “Think of the population pressure on our infrastructure and resources!”

School teacher Juan Gomez went further, “Their language sounds like a bunch of creepy clicks, whirls and beeps. Good luck teaching them Spanish!”

Appalled, grandmother Lucia Perez commented, “They walk around with no clothes on! Their values and morals seem very alien compared to our earthly culture.”

As the debate rages on, Congress is probing further into the implications of making first contact with extraterrestrial species. But one thing is clear – there are no easy answers when it comes to welcoming aliens from other planets.
