Fulton County Jail Won’t Take New Mug Shot Of Trump

8/22/2023 Atlanta – The Fulton County Jail announced it will not take a new mug shot of Donald Trump when the former president turns himself in on Thursday to face criminal charges.

“We’ll just use one of his old mug shots already on file,” said Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat. “No need to waste time taking a new one when he’s been booked so many times before.”

Trump is facing multiple indictments, including election tampering, making false statements and attempting to influence government employees.

Sheriff Labat said the jail has “boxes full” of old mug shots of Trump from his previous arrests over the years on charges ranging from tax evasion to housing discrimination.

“We’ve got him smiling, frowning, turning left, turning right – you name it,” said Labat. “I’m sure we can dig one up that’s recent enough to use for his new inmate photo ID badge and wanted posters.”

Trump’s legal team is reportedly not thrilled with the plan to recycle his old mug shots. “Those photos present him in an unflattering light,” said Trump attorney John Lauro. “We prefer new headshots be taken with proper lighting, makeup and wardrobe.”

But Labat said the jail’s policy is firm. “No exceptions for VIP inmates,” he stated. “Trump’s an old pro at this. He knows the drill.”

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department also announced it will revive Trump’s old nickname, Prisoner Bigly, and reserve a cell assignment in cell block D.

“We want him to feel right at home,” said Labat with a chuckle. “Like he’ll never want to leave.”
