8/10/2023 Washington, D.C. – Inside sources revealed that an unusual scene unfolded during Biden’s recent tour of the southwestern states. In a conservation meeting, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Martha Williams attempted to warn President Biden that “someone here is possessed by an owl.”
“As soon as Martha said those words, the President looked concerned, started blinking his eyes asking ‘who, who?’” said a White House aide. “We all started laughing, but Biden seemed completely confused and lost on the joke.”
So, Williams pressed Biden further for details about the purported owl possession. The president simply responded “who?” in a drawn out, hooting manner.
“I kept asking if it was the Secretary of the Interior or maybe the EPA Administrator who was possessed so we could help them,” Williams laughed. “But Biden just kept saying ‘who’ over and over again looking around the table for help, not understanding that he was a victim of a joke.”
Aides, trying to move forward with the meeting, hurriedly reassured Biden that as far as they knew, no team member was under the influence of any owl spirits.
However, Biden continued his owl-like refrains throughout the meeting, at one point even rotating his head nearly 180 degrees while saying “who.”
“In hindsight, it appears the President mistook the owl joke this whole time as something serious,” said an internal White House memo. “We apologize for any confusion on the matter.”
According to the memo, aides are not to mention owls or possession and certainly not in the same sentence when talking with President Biden. Additionally, Biden is now barred from responding to anything in meetings with the word “who.” A safe word of “how” has been designated instead.
