From Fictionally Frustrated To Satirically Satisfied: My Journey To 100 Articles

7/27/2023 EVERYWHERE, USA – Hello satire and parody enthusiasts! I can hardly believe this website has churned out 100 fictional tales of absurdity. What a strange ride it has been. When I first started it back in April, I wasn’t sure how far I could stretch the limits of lunacy. Yet here we are, 100 stories later.

With this monumental 100th post, I wanted to let you all in further on my little journey. After college, I figured it would be neat to write a serious fictional novel about life. I even went as far as drafting up an outline and creating the characters. I was ready to let it all unfold! But alas, I had precious little time for writing stories between my riveting adventures of cleaning toilets and grass mowing. And whenever I did sit down to write, I’d get a paragraph or two out before being interrupted by the thrill of cleaning windows or washing dishes. It seemed a long fictional tale was just not in the cards.

However, I’ve always wanted to bring laughter into the world. So, this year, a lightbulb went off. Why not go the short story route and stick to satire or farcical fiction? I tested it out on a free website and tested some stories on friends and family. I found myself quite enjoying telling stories of life’s absurdities. And thus, the nonsense known as JournalistBS.com was born!

Why JournalistBS you ask? Well it’s clearly a cheeky play on words since the stories are so fictional. But it also happens to be my initials. So the website name has two meanings – double the fun!

How do I dream up these tales of oddity? I’ve always had a peculiar sense of humor. When I observe the world, bizarre fictional takes on real events often pop into my head. And presto! A new wacky idea is born. Most times they play off current events, humorous things that actually happened or something funny that I ran across.

And with that, I want to express thanks to all the journalistbs readers. Hopefully I’ve brought some laughter into your lives. As I look ahead to the next 100 articles of silliness and more, please feel free to contact me with suggestions or feedback. Maybe we can come up with some new tales of absurdity together! Here’s to many more laughs ahead.

Thank you!
