7/19/2023 Austin – Tesla, the electric car company founded by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, has announced that it will start producing its most ambitious vehicle yet: the Model ML, Mars Lander, that can also function as a flying car on Earth.

The ML is designed to be a hybrid between a spacecraft and a car, capable of taking off and landing vertically, flying at supersonic speeds, and traveling to and from Mars. The vehicle will also have a range of features that make it suitable for driving on Earth, such as autopilot, solar panels, and a spacious interior.

Tesla claims that the Model ML will be the first vehicle of its kind to offer interplanetary travel to the masses, as well as a fun and eco-friendly way to get around on Earth. The company says that the Model ML will cost $1,000,000 for the base model, which is significantly cheaper than other spacecrafts, and that it will be available for pre-order starting next month.

Musk, who is also the founder and CEO of SpaceX, the aerospace company that plans to colonize Mars, said that the Model ML is his dream project and that he hopes to inspire more people to explore the solar system. He also said that he plans to be the first customer of the Model ML and that he will use it to visit Mars in 2024.

“Model ML is not just a car, it’s a spaceship,” Musk said at a press conference. “It will change the way we travel, work, and live. Imagine being able to fly from New York to Los Angeles in less than an hour, or from London to Paris in 15 minutes. Imagine being able to avoid traffic jams, tolls, and parking fees. Imagine being able to soar above the clouds and enjoy the view. And I’ve always wanted to go to Mars and see what’s out there,” Musk added. “With the Model ML, I can finally make that happen. Coupled with fun flying around on Earth. It’s the best of both worlds. And, at a price tag of $1 Mil, Tesla has created an affordable solution for most people!”

Musk added that the Model ML will be compatible with SpaceX’s Starship, the reusable rocket system that will carry humans and cargo to Mars. He said that customers who buy the Model ML will be able to dock their vehicles with Starship and join SpaceX’s missions to the red planet. Tesla will reveal more details about the Model ML in the coming weeks. The company has also released a teaser video showing a prototype of the Model ML flying over a desert landscape, accompanied by the slogan “The Future is Now”.
