5/16/2023 New York City – In a surprising turn of events, Fox News issued a public apology today to George Soros, acknowledging that he is actually a lovely guy and that they regret besmirching his reputation all these years.
“We were wrong about George Soros,” said Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade. “He’s actually quite charming and has a great sense of humor. We should have known better than to believe all those conspiracy theories.”
To make up for their past behavior, Fox News has invited Soros to brunch, and not just any brunch, but a bottomless mimosa brunch. And to make the invitation more appealing, they also have a 2 for 1 coupon for the brunch, which they say is necessary considering the recent Dominion payout.
“We want to show George that we’re serious about making amends,” said Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch. “And what better way to do that than over a delicious brunch and bottomless mimosas? We’re hoping to put this whole thing behind us and move forward with a new level of civility and respect.”
Soros has yet to respond to the invitation, but sources close to him say that he is considering the offer and is open to the possibility of reconciling with Fox News.
“I think George would enjoy the brunch,” said a spokesperson for Soros. “But he also wants to make sure that Fox News is sincere in their apology and not just trying to save face. We’ll see how things go.”
For now, Fox News is eagerly anticipating a response from Soros and looking forward to the possibility of a new era of friendship and cooperation.
